OK, here's the shot at 4:31pm.
The power has just gone off and we're right at the edge of the eye wall with the
storm still coming in.
Electrical power is gone and we're on our own.
The "eye of the hurricane" as everyone likes to call it.
Yes, it is a very definite cutoff from storm to reasonably calm.
Just enough time to get out and survey the damage and see if we'll make it
through the next round of wind and rain.
Look out because it's coming back and this time from the opposite direction.
Wind is right out of the west and visibility is back down to almost nothing
again.
This about sums up our neighborhood. Now it's time for the clean up.
